Web developers, welcome to the 2024 Esri Developer Summit! We are excited to meet you at this fantastic event, which is for developers, by developers, either in person or virtually. Come see engaging product team demos, educational technical seminars, and chances to interact directly with the ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript team and twenty other product teams. This guide is a summary of the technical presentations created especially for web developers who want to improve their web mapping and development abilities.

Over the past year, we have added a ton of new features and improvements, and we are very happy to share the highlights with you! The key developments in the JavaScript Maps SDK, such as new features and a brand-new web mapping web component library for expedited front-end development, will be demonstrated by the speakers.

Do you want to draw inspiration from some of the most exquisite apps created using the SDK? Find out what incredible web applications you can make by combining skills and using the newest web development methods.

We are launching the web component library for the JavaScript SDKs (in beta) to increase front-end development productivity for all levels of projects, from entry-level to complex. Discover the new Charts components to improve your apps with dynamic and responsive data visualizations. Learn more about how to use Map components in your projects, as well as advice and best practices for contemporary web development.

Discover how to get started developing web mapping applications with the new map components included in ArcGIS Maps for JavaScripts. For developers who are interested in creating web applications, this is an essential session that includes real-world examples and walkthroughs to help you get started right away!

Web maps that employ excellent visualization techniques can use spatial data to create interesting and educational narratives. We are always improving the mapping and visualization features to better accommodate additional use cases and broaden the palette at your disposal for producing eye-catching data representations. Come learn more about 2D and 3D visualization, discover how to make insightful representations out of large, complex facts, and improve your web mapping applications with unique designs and animations.

Visualizing dense, large-scale datasets can be intimidating. Since many features in large datasets overlap, it might be challenging or even impossible to see spatial patterns in raw data. This workshop gives developers more confidence in their ability to understand big volumes of data by demonstrating numerous efficient approaches to visualize massive datasets. Along with learning server-side data pretreatment and aggregation methods, you will also learn client-side approaches for visualizing density, clusters, and hot spots.

The science of where is built on data. Whether your data is already hosted within the ArcGIS ecosystem, accessible as an open format outside of ArcGIS, or ready to be captured, you can leverage Esris web development technologies to generate intelligent analysis and robust workflows.

bringing your information. We are providing a series of workshops regarding use cases and best practices for various data sources. With the sessions below, discover more about the potent feature layer, linking local or cloud data sources, and photography.

Easily import layers of GeoJSON, CSV, GeoTIFF, and OGC data with the ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript. We will create an application in this session that makes use of all the features that these layer types have to offer.

Examining. Enhance your web application by acquiring knowledge via data analysis. Our speakers will walk through cutting-edge methods for converting unprocessed data into engrossing narratives and engaging data exploration both client-side and with Arcade.

Advanced visualization and client-side analytical approaches will be covered and shown in this session. Operations carried out directly within the browser, without the usual server request latency, are referred to as client-side operations. Filters, effects, geometry engine, aspatial and spatial queries, and a hint of arcade are among the specific subjects discussed.

investigating fresh ArcGIS features. In the last year, a growing number of ArcGIS features—which were previously only available on desktops—have been made available online, including oriented imagery, ArcGIS Knowledge, and sophisticated utility network functions. With a straightforward UI, you can now create complex workflows just within your browser. Come learn how to use the latest ArcGIS features in your online applications by attending the following courses.

2023 was a significant year for 3D technology. Among these, 3D basemaps and scene layer editing significantly improved 3D workflows in online applications. Come to our 3D workshops to get inspired and discover how to create engaging 3D web applications with more interactive, realistic, and thematic visualization.

Discover how to create robust and effective 3D web apps by utilizing the many interactive features of the ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript. We'll examine readily accessible widgets and parts that are utilized for querying, analysis, and modifying. You'll notice how many of the ideas that you are familiar with from working with feature layers and 2D maps translate to scenes and 3D-specific layers.

With the use of our Calcite Design System, creative editing tools, and vast library of user interface components, Esris web development capabilities can facilitate the creation of a dynamic and intuitive web experience with ease.

updating the Calcite Design System's user interface.Calcite Design System is a set of design and development tools that make it simple to create stunning, intuitive, and consistent experiences across devices and apps. Our speakers will cover an overview and roadmap, walk through the process of building web apps using Calcite, discuss how to integrate Calcite with front-end frameworks, and offer design advice for producing user interfaces that are easy to understand in the upcoming sessions.

The Calcite Design System helps developers create standardized online applications more quickly by offering a collection of pre-made icons, patterns, and web components. This workshop will teach you how to utilize the ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript in conjunction with Calcite Components to quickly construct web mapping applications that are easy to use.

Online editing is more capable than ever. Attend the Web Editing workshop to learn about the JavaScript SDK's next-generation web editing experience.

improving user interfaces. The JavaScript Maps SDK provides an extensive range of pre-built user interfaces (UIs) for popular mapping processes. Find out more about how to alter the appearance and behavior of popup windows and other UI elements to suit the needs of your application.

This webinar will cover how to use the recently added functionality to customize the look and behavior of the popups in the Map Viewer using the ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript. We will go over how to adjust the popup's appearance and feel to suit your application's needs, including how to deal with Arcade, display charts, and other features.
